Hi, John, It’s been quite a month. And week. In case you missed it, our office was attacked Sunday night. The short version: someone tried to break our windows and threw two Molotov cocktails at our building. The building was empty, so no one was hurt and we are incredibly grateful for the quick response of our local fire and police department. Regardless of this unnerving event, we remain committed to advocating for the most vulnerable Oregonians. We have always faced barriers, and we won’t let this one stop us. I don’t have words to express my gratitude for the outpour of support from our advocates and community. This is the pro-life movement I know and I am thankful for each of you. Many have asked how to help. In light of this attack, we have implemented onsite security for the safety of our team and are waiting to hear what repairs will be necessary. These are costs we did not budget for. Your financial support will go directly towards the safety measures needed to continue our work. Any excess will go back into our programs helping women and their babies across Oregon. We won’t let these unexpected challenges distract us from the ongoing election. This year is our best chance in a generation to elect pro-life leaders in Oregon, so we have to put our weight behind the strongest pro-life candidates. The last day to vote is Tuesday, May 17. But don’t wait until then to turn in your ballots! You can find a ballot dropbox with this tool, and check out our Pro-Life Voter Guide on our PAC website. It’s time to turn out for life in our state. Because everyone deserves an advocate, Lois Anderson P.S. If you are someone who prays, prayer support for our team is welcome and appreciated! |
