Bush: Opposition to Abortion About Control Not Children

Wednesday on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, corrupt radical Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) declared falsely that opposition to abortion was about controlling women, not helping children.

Bush said, “Opposition to abortion care has never been about a baby. It’s never been about children because if it was, we’d have better resources for when the child is actually born, but so it was never about that. It’s just about control. It’s about who our government sees as fully human in this country.”

She's right that it is about whom we see as fully human. Conservatives see unborn children as fully human, while Cori Bush’s party and the Biden administration reject science and view them as inconvenient clumps of cells.

They also don't view girls and women as fully human, having thrown them under the bus to prioritize biological males who claim to identify as women.

Bush went on to launch into a bizarre rant: “There’s a reason why we don’t see sperm regulation legislation. There’s a reason why we don’t see mandated vasectomies. You know, the very idea that we would take away men’s bodily autonomy is outrageous, like it’s unfathomable. But truthfully, sperm are busy. It’s busy. Who is regulated it? Who is saying something about it? I didn’t see the senator saying something about it, and somewhere that legislation? There will never be about that, especially if it’s up to them because they don’t see that as something that’s needed because it’s about control and it’s not about children you.

Bush added, “It is still hands off our bodies. If they don’t want to talk us regulating their sperm, don’t talk about what’s happening to our bodies. We shouldn’t be talking about, shouldn’t be trying to regulate their sperm just the same way they shouldn’t be trying to regulate our uteruses.”

This is juvenile nonsense. The Left’s entire unscientific argument is that abortion is about women’s bodies — it’s not. It’s about valuing the lives of the unborn children — girls included — that people like Bush are fine terminating up to the very moment of birth.

Outraged by Supreme Court Decision to Overturn Roe v. Wade

In response to a recent leak revealing that the Supreme Court will strike down the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, an outraged Bush told MSNBC on May 3:

“You know, just hearing the president [Biden] speak and hearing just the announcement that came before that, that this is real, that this is what’s going to happen, it felt like a hammer came down. I’m thinking about the 36 million women, nearly half of the women of reproductive age between 18 and 49. I’m thinking about them in the U.S. I’m thinking about other folks, people who can become pregnant, and how they lose this access, the access to abortion. And I think about what my mindset was at the time when I needed that help. And when we think — we have to look at it this way: When I went to get my abortion, I didn’t go to a gas station. I didn’t enter a fast food restaurant. I didn’t go to a bank. I went to a healthcare facility because abortion care is health care. And we are taking away — this will take away folks’ access to safe abortions. And I’m thinking about those that have this need, and that need — that option will be gone. […] So, we do go back to that and we put black women and brown women, indigenous women, our trans folks, do we put them back in this position where a huge, this massive loss of life happens because of politics?”
