Here’s a taste of hope! People across Canada are transforming life for children around the world. Below is a snapshot of what we’ve achieved together recently.
- In Guatemala, 55 new taps were installed, so more kids and their families can drink clean, contaminant-free water.
- In Tanzania, 15,787 more people now have clean water within 30 minutes of their homes, helping to free women and girls from lives dedicated to fetching and carrying water.
- In India, 2,997 students can now be safer and healthier, thanks to the construction of toilets in their communities.
Child protection includes many things – including access to safe water and sanitation close to home and school. Thank you for partnering with us!

As climate change worsens around the world, stable water access is critical to keep children from crisis. Ponds dry up and rivers slow to a trickle. Yet supply systems tapping into underground water can save children’s lives, protect their education and guard their futures.

Tens of thousands of people join World Vision’s Global 6K for Water each year. Six kilometres is the average distance children in the planet’s poorest regions walk, to fetch water each day. Join up today! You’ll be helping raise funds for water programs, saving lives as you go.

Access to water was just one of the things many Ukrainians lost, when crisis gripped their country. Now in neighbouring Romania, Tetiana and her family are safe, warm and nourished. They’ve received essentials like infant formula, food, warm blankets, hygiene kits and cash assistance from groups like World Vision.
Thanks go out to people across Canada who contributed! Together, we raised more than $5 million for children and families fleeing Ukraine.
