We have some good news, and some not-so-good news, John.
Let’s start with the good news. A new CNN poll released yesterday found that 50% of Americans believe that Trump should be impeached and removed from office, while only 43% do not. And, according to that same poll, 61% of women favor removal!
Now the not-so-good news. While these numbers show the highest support for Trump's removal of any CNN poll, they have remained steady since October – meaning that two weeks of public hearings didn’t move the needle.
That’s not surprising, though. We know that government hearings don’t change minds – people-powered movements do, which is what makes January 18th’s 2020 Women’s March on Washington so important.
However, we need the resources to make it happen.
Our team crunched the numbers. We need everyone reading this email to donate $15.43 (our average gift) to meet our budget for November. Can you do your part and chip in?
Power this movement »
Women are leading the resistance against Trump, but we need the power of people in the streets if we’re going to shift public opinion and grow our movement.
There’s nothing like massive numbers of people taking action and raising their voices together to change minds or elections. We just saw it in Hong Kong’s elections last week when more than half of the districts flipped in the wake of protests.
It’s up to us to show the world that this movement has not faded. We need to be the most prepared and organized we’ve ever been in order to make Trump a one-term president.
Can you help make sure we have the resources we need to support these uprisings across the country? We must hit our November goal to stay on track.
Thank you for stepping up.
