This is an honest email about the importance of making a contribution before our mid-FEC fundraising deadline ends next week.

Wisconsin will be one of the most expensive races in the country. Politico recently reported that Mitch McConnell’s Super PAC is putting down at least $141 million to take back the Senate majority, with $15 million already booked in Wisconsin to protect Republican Senator Ron Johnson.

That’s a LOT of outside money to compete with — but there’s more: GOP megadonors and corporate special interest groups are already filling up Ron Johnson’s campaign coffers with massive checks, and they’ll spend that money trying to beat his opponent.

The good news is that Sarah Godlewski is the only Democrat polling ahead of Ron Johnson in the most recent head-to-head poll, and The Washington Post called her “the best chance” to defeat him this November.

The bad news is that McConnell and the Republicans are going to throw everything but the kitchen sink at us in the months ahead. That’s why we need to keep up our momentum in this race and collect the necessary resources to defeat Ron Johnson. Every dollar goes a long way.
