Dear John

As promised, we're keeping you in the loop on actions you can take to help protect abortion access.

Reproductive Justice Teach-In ([link removed])
On Wednesday, May 18th, our office will be hosting a Reproductive Justice Teach-In ([link removed]) with Planned Parenthood, the National Institute for Reproductive Health, and on-the-ground organizers in the fight for reproductive justice! We'll be breaking down what exactly the draft Supreme Court decision ([link removed]) means nationally, how it will impact New York City and New York State, and what both our City and state are doing in response. Finally, we'll have some action items on what you can do to help protect people seeking an abortion both in our state and beyond our borders.

We'll be meeting at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music garden at 6:30. Please RSVP ([link removed]) , so we know how many people to expect!

Purple square with white and teal text. There is a light henna design and the office logo in the bottom. Text reads " May 18 - 6:30 PM. We Won't Go Back (underlined). Reproductive Justice Teach In. Brooklyn Conservatory of Music Garden. 58 7th Ave Brooklyn, NY 11217.
Direct Action ([link removed])
Abortion rights organizations are calling for mass mobilizations across the country to send a clear message to the Supreme Court that we are not going back. On May 14th, we’ll be marching as part of the Bans Off Our Bodies ([link removed]) march starting at noon at Cadman Plaza. This is a coordinated march across the country so when you show up, you’re standing in solidarity with millions of people. We'll march across the Brooklyn Bridge to rally in Foley Square. We have strength in numbers, so bring a friend or two with you!

In Solidarity,
Shahana

P.S. A head's up - you won't get your regular newsletter on Sunday! We're sending out a readership survey to see what you all are liking and what more you want to see from our email list so please fill it out if you’re able.
