,
Republicans have been preparing for the fall of Roe v. Wade for years. Here in SC, Gov. McMaster and GOP lawmakers have prioritized divisive schemes to strip women of our rights, from introducing trigger laws that would ban all abortions when Roe is overturned, to making women jump through egregious hoops to gain access to abortion services.

Every single time Republicans have attacked our rights, I’ve fought back. In 2015, I introduced the Viagra Bill to expose the hypocrisy of the GOP’s war on women. When SC Republicans passed the “Fetal Heartbeat” bill (effectively banning abortions at 6-weeks of pregnancy), I introduced the Pro-Birth Accountability Act, a groundbreaking proposal that requires the state to help cover costs associated with pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing — from conception to college.
My record of fiercely defending women’s right to choose is exactly what we need at this moment, and our June 14th Democratic Primary is now the biggest fight for women’s rights in South Carolina. Can I count on you to rush a donation to help me defeat McMaster and show the GOP that we will always stand up for legal access to abortion in South Carolina?

I’ve spent my career fighting to protect the right to choose, and as your Governor, you can count on me to continue to support reproductive freedom and block any restrictive anti-abortion bills.
Thank you for standing with me,
Mia
