SFTR Says: Vote Yes on Proposition A this June — Needed Investments for Muni!

Imagine tagging your Clipper Card at Montgomery station, your mind at ease knowing in 30 minutes you’ll be home, guaranteed. Or knowing you don’t have to leave the house an hour and a half before school starts because the zero-emissions bus that runs along your street will show up on time and zoom past traffic along Sunset Boulevard.

Proposition A will create a transit system riders can depend on. It will help San Francisco reach its equity, livability and climate goals by supporting a faster, safer and more reliable Muni service that centers the needs of riders. San Francisco Transit Riders is in strong support of Prop A.

Volunteer with SFTR this summer!

In May and June, San Francisco Transit Riders will be tabling at Sunday Streets and other community events talking to riders about their transit needs and Prop A, the $400M transit funding measure on the June ballot. Sign up below to volunteer!

Apply for the San Francisco Youth Commission!

The Youth Commission is a diverse group of 17 young people between the ages of 12 and 23 who come from all across San Francisco to serve as the official youth voice in City Hall.

Throughout the year-long term, Commissioners are offered budget and policy advocacy training, leadership development skills, and technical support as they identify the unmet needs of young people, engage in community building, and create lasting change in their communities. Commissioners come from all different backgrounds, but they all share a common vision of a more progressive future and engage in different approaches to work on issues such as housing (Transitional Age Youth Navigation Center & the Grand Challenge), transformative justice (Close Juvenile Hall & Close 850 Bryant), voting rights (Vote16SF), and transportation (Free Muni For Youth).
