Across the country, it’s primary season in crucial states. The results of these primaries, particularly on the Republican side, will significantly impact the future of our democracy.

Last week in Ohio, Donald Trump’s handpicked candidate, J.D. Vance, won the bitterly contested GOP primary. The Ohio primary was a preview of Trump’s continuing influence over the Republican Party.

In West Virginia earlier this week, Trump’s favored candidate defeated a fellow Republican member of Congress in a redistricting contest.

And that’s just two of Trump’s cronies winning their primaries. We can’t let Trump’s accomplices become the majority in the House next year. A MAGA majority will write legislation, lead committees, and set the rules.
