Dear Friend,

All of us are in danger.

For years now, the government has used all of the weapons in its vast arsenal—surveillance, threat assessments, fusion centers, pre-crime programs, hate crime laws, militarized police, martial law, etc.—to target potential enemies of the state based on behavior the government considers “suspicious” or “dangerous” or “hateful” or “anti-government.”

Where this becomes problematic is when the government and its corporate partners get to decide what is “suspicious” or “dangerous” or “hateful” or “anti-government.” In such an environment, anyone who questions government authority or subscribes to views that are contrary to the government’s or holds religious beliefs that may not be politically correct can be labeled a so-called domestic extremist.

The ramifications are so far-reaching as to render almost every American who appears to be pro-freedom an extremist.

That’s why the broad-based, apolitical, nonpartisan work of The Rutherford Institute is so critical, and why your support is so necessary.

HELP US KEEP FREEDOM ALIVE: SUPPORT OUR WORK WITH A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION

The right to speak out against government wrongdoing is the quintessential freedom.

The Rutherford Institute is working hard to defend your rights in the face of government efforts to nullify the constitutional freedoms assured to every American. We’re working in and out of the courts to push back against the government’s overreaches and power grabs and transform the government—at all levels—into one that respects the rights of all Americans.

Your tax-deductible donations not only keep our attorneys on the front lines of the many legal battles taking place across the country, but they also reinforce our efforts to shore up the constitutional rights that have been battered by years of abuse, neglect and attacks.

In recognition of The Rutherford Institute’s upcoming 40th anniversary, some faithful donors have issued a $250,000 matching gift challenge.

If you’re able to make a tax-deductible donation of $100, $250 or even $1000 or more, it would go a long way towards ensuring that The Rutherford Institute is able to stay in the battle, keep sounding the alarm, and do everything in our power to hold the line for freedom. All donations—including one-time gifts, monthly pledges and stock donations—made between now and June 30th will count towards this matching gift challenge.

Together, we WILL make America free again.

For freedom,

John W. Whitehead
President

P.S. Your tax-deductible donations make it possible for The Rutherford Institute—nonpartisan, apolitical and committed to the principles enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights—to work to reshape the government from the bottom up into one that respects freedom, recognizes our worth as human beings, resists corruption, and plays by the rules of the Constitution.
