I’ve known Mike for many years. I’ve worked with him in business, in city government, and in philanthropy, as he’s given away his money helping people around the world. He’s a proven leader with a long track record of success – and he’s the very best candidate to beat Donald Trump.
Mike greeted crowds of voters in Norfolk, Virginia on the kick-off of his campaign.
Donald Trump represents an existential threat to our country and our values. We cannot afford four more years of his reckless and unethical actions. Mike can beat him. He already has – by winning stronger gun safety laws across the country, closing dirty coal plants, and protecting kids from flavored e-cigarettes. And he can do it again.

Mike kicked off the campaign this week with trips to Norfolk, VA, and Phoenix, AZ. He met with voters and local elected officials about the issues that matter to them most – and in two battleground states that will decide the outcome in November 2020.
On Tuesday, November 26th, Mike filed to be on the Democratic primary ballot in Arizona.
You don’t often see primary candidates visit those states, and you definitely don’t see them run truly national campaigns. But Mike will. He’s already started. Because to beat Donald Trump – to build a broad coalition of voters ready to unite and rebuild America – our party has to turn swing states from red to blue next November. We have to beat him in the states where he’s been campaigning since his first day in office, and we have to start now.
