Yesterday, Michael voted to enshrine the right to choose into law because he strongly believes this health care decision is between a woman and her doctor, and reproductive freedom shouldn’t depend on the state you live in.

Unfortunately with just 50 Democrats in the Senate and anti-choice Mitch McConnell leading the GOP against reproductive freedom, the bill did not pass.

Michael has pledged that this is not the end and he won’t stop fighting.

While this moment might feel grim, Colorado is a safe haven for women seeking reproductive health care, and it will continue to be a safe haven as long as people like Michael remain in office.

See, the Republican frontrunner in this Senate race has already this year tried to criminalize women for seeking abortion in Colorado with no exceptions for rape or incest.

Reproductive rights are at risk nationally and here in Colorado, but we have the power to protect them by helping to re-elect Michael and keep Colorado’s Senate seat out of the hands of anti-choice Republicans.
