new get out the vote campaign: letter writing. Yes, that’s right – the
tried-and-true method of handwritten letters was tested to help encourage
voter participation among unlikely voters, and it paid off in a big way –
boosting nationwide voter turnout by almost 1%! ^[1,2]

People For members were instrumental in the success of this program and
were praised by our partners for their efforts: with a thousand members
sending over 70,000 letters to voters across the country. And again, for
Virginia’s 2021 election, People For members sent over 20,000 letters!

the upcoming elections, and the letter writing campaign launches TODAY.

appears to be ever-increasing stakes for this year’s elections, voter
turnout is going to be crucial in preventing a far-right takeover of
Congress or worse.

The Big Send Project has a goal of writing 10 MILLION letters this year,
so any time you can spare to helping convince voters to cast their ballot
