National Domestic Workers Alliance
============================
John — We’re following up a POWERFUL day of action in D.C. by calling Congress and encouraging elected officials to support the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.
We need 1,000 people to call Congress TODAY. Will you add your voice?
CALL 1-844-338-5133

Domestic workers, most of whom are disproportionately Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous and immigrant women, face discrimination everyday. That's because domestic workers have NO federal sexual harassment, minimum wage, or maximum work week protections. These exclusions from basic worker rights can be traced back to slavery and Jim Crow.
The National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights is federal legislation that includes domestic workers in common workplace laws for the first time while creating new protections and stronger ways to enforce them . NDWA is working to raise awareness for this critical piece of legislation, while moving it toward eventual passage.
Care jobs can be good jobs and the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights is a critical step in making that possible.
NOW is the time to rally our elected leaders to get their support for this important legislation. Call your Representative TODAY — it only takes a few minutes — and urge them to support the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.
When you call, whether someone answers or you leave a voicemail, all you have to do is introduce yourself and then, say:
“I am calling to ask my Representative to support the National Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. Nannies, home care workers and housecleaners keep our communities strong. Domestic workers need full rights and protections.”
CALL 1-844-338-5133
We will need ALL of our voices to keep moving this bill forward!
Thanks for all that you do,
Organizing Team

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
