Dear John,

We are back for this week’s Digital Drum Beat, to remind communities of the importance of coming to Washington, D.C., for the Mass Poor People’s and Low Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls. As we move closer to June 18, 2022, the largest gathering of poor and low-wealth people this country has ever seen, we will continue beating our digital drums and asking you to use your social media network to let everyone know why you are going to #MeetUsinDC!

This week, we are asking you to change your cover image on Facebook (the one across the top of your profile) to include one of our banners promoting the assembly. This is a movement led by and for poor and low-income people, and we want everyone to see the reasons we are touching so many people. Below is a step by step guide to ensure everyone can participate.

1. Download a banner from the social media toolkit.

2. Login to Facebook and tap in the top right of Facebook, then tap your name.

3. Tap in the bottom right of your cover photo.

4. Tap Upload a Photo to upload a photo from your device and select the banner you downloaded.

5. Drag the photo to adjust.

6. Tap Set as Cover Photo.

We are going to flood Facebook with the faces of this movement, showing this country the power of the poor and low-wealth people who are joining us in Washington, D.C., on June 18. We could not do this without you and your willingness to help us bring as many people as possible to the Mass Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls. Once you change your picture, you can invite your family and friends to do the same.

Thank you for being a part of our Digital Drum Beat each week and staying up to date on all the ways we are using social media to amplify our message and keep folks excited as the summer continues.

Forward together, not one step back!
