ELECTION UPDATE: New Mexico voters are now permitted to change their party affiliation in person via same-day voter registration procedures.
This means Independent/Decline-To-State voters can finally participate in our primary elections! If you chose to declare a party in order to vote in the primary election, you may switch back to your original registration status after you vote.
Elections should be accessible to all voters, no matter your party. This is a step in the right direction toward enfranchising more voters in the primary process.
New Mexico’s Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, June 7th. Early voting has begun at your clerk's office, but expanded early voting begins on May 21st. Click here to find your polling place and other voting information on the New Mexico Voter Information Portal. →
