It’s May in Vermont, which is always a favorite time of year for me. Shades of green pop up everywhere, days get longer, and it’s easy to lose track of time catching up with your neighbors outside.

I was honored to see so many Vermonters out this weekend to help us welcome my friend Senator Ed Markey to our great state.

Eddie came to help us out because he knows that winning this race couldn’t be more important. The Senate currently hangs in the balance, which means losing just one seat would result in Mitch McConnell Republicans calling the shots. And we’ve seen what happens when they’re in power: they fight for failure.

I’m proud of the team we’re building, and we’re building it the Vermont way. But it’s only possible with supporters like you. What do you say—can you chip in right away?

Building this team the Vermont way means listening more than talking. That’s the best way to learn how to help—and it’s how I’ll continue to serve Vermont in the Senate.

But we’re going to be up against a lot as we head into spring and summer. Mitch McConnell and his national Republican allies are already planning on spending a record amount—to the tune of $141 million—to try and flip the Senate. We’ve got to fight back.
