John, I wanted to reach out personally to invite you to join your community’s Bans Off Our Bodies rally.
In the last 5 years, we’ve seen how Women’s March has transformed from a single, collective action to an entire movement. I couldn’t be prouder of this team and each and every one of you who have supported our critical work whether it be from the very start, or just a day ago.
And now, we’re calling on you once again – but frankly, it’s not fair.
We shouldn’t have to do this, John. We shouldn’t have to fight for our basic right to self determination and bodily autonomy. Abortion is health care, and affordable, widespread access to the full spectrum of reproductive health care saves lives. We know this, the majority of Americans know this, and even the GOP knows this – but they will stop at nothing to pander to right wing extremists at our expense.
I’m angry, John. We all are. But everything we’re feeling right now: rage, loss, fear, and yes, even hope, must be channeled into action and solidarity. We are in this fight for the long haul and the progress we’re fighting for, our feminist future, can’t be made possible without you. We must continue on.
