Our GOP opponents are tripping over themselves to win over the most extreme elements of the right-wing base heading into the Republican State Convention this weekend. I'll explain more in a moment, but first, I have an important request:

Will you make a contribution that works for you today to help us hit our 1,500 donor goal by Sunday, May 15? Our fundraising team tells me we need at least 300 people to step up by MIDNIGHT to stay within reach of hitting our target in time.

The Minnesota GOP endorsement fight has turned into an unbridled race to the right. With the Supreme Court now poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, every leading Republican candidate running against Governor Walz and me has pledged to ban abortion without exceptions for rape and incest.

One of our leading opponents is proudly touting the endorsement of former Minnesota congresswoman (and forever national embarrassment) Michele Bachmann. And another is promoting the endorsement of Wisconsin's right-wing Republican Senator Ron Johnson.

Virtually all of our opponents are still echoing Donald Trump’s Big Lie, and none will admit that Joe Biden won the 2020 election fair and square.

John, it’s impossible to overstate how dangerous it would be for this Republican Party to retake power, but the crowded field proves that they’re convinced they can do it.

There’s no question that this will be one of the most important elections in Minnesota history. We can’t afford to leave any doubt that we have what it takes to win, which is why it’s so critical that we reach our 1,500 individual donor goal by Sunday night.

If you can, rush a donation that works for you by midnight so we can prove that we’re ready to keep Minnesota blue no matter who ends up at the top of the ticket against us.
