Hello Advocate,

Right now, Congress has an opportunity to address one of the biggest threats facing people living with cystic fibrosis: the risk of antibiotic-resistant infections. Each year, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur in the United States, and more than 35,000 people die as a result. As antimicrobial resistance continues to outpace the development of new antibiotics, people with CF – who face a heightened, life-long risk of infection – are increasingly left without effective treatments.

The Pioneering Antimicrobial Subscriptions to End Upsurging Resistance (PASTEUR) Act would tackle this issue directly by jumpstarting the development of desperately needed new antibiotics.
Thanks to your advocacy, the bill is gaining momentum – and if we keep pushing, we could see it pass ([link removed]).
