Dear John,
In times of trouble, true leaders are revealed--those who call us to live up to America's founding ideals and unite around fundamental principles, offering hope for a better future.
Following last week's unprecedented leak of the Supreme Court's draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade we have witnessed angry protests outside of the justices' homes, churches intimidated, and a violent attack on the Wisconsin Family Action's headquarters on Mother's Day morning. If there was ever a time our nation needed true leadership from the American president, it's now.
Unfortunately, the White House practically had to be forced to condemn the far Left's violence and intimidation that is designed to silence the voice of Americans who stand for life.
Is anyone really surprised, though?
On March 1, at the State of the Union Address, President Biden had another opportunity to offer a remedy to our nation--and our world--in crisis. It was a chance for him to "reboot" the disastrous trajectory of his administration.
Sadly, the president's speech revealed someone so beholden to the radical far Left's agenda that he simply could not rise to the occasion.
If anyone tuned in to hear a message of hope and a realistic plan for adapting to the crises at hand, they went to bed disappointed.
As these past few days has revealed, our nation is only growing more and more divided. So, the question now for all Americans is, what is the state of faith, family, and freedom in our nation?
For nearly four decades, Family Research Council has served as your voice and advocate in the halls of government, providing public policy research and analysis on life, marriage, and religious freedom-related issues from a biblical worldview.
Because of the generosity of partners like you, we will continue to stand on the front lines each and every day. But we cannot stop even for a moment. That's why your ongoing support is crucial at this time.

If we look at the policies the Biden administration has prioritized over the last 15 months, it's not a pretty picture.
Travis Weber, FRC's Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs, noted, "In his first year, we documented 93 actions that Biden took to roll back protections for life, family, and religious freedom."
Here is a snapshot of what this administration has done:
- Four days after his inauguration, Biden issued an executive order directing all federal agencies to interpret federal laws that prohibit sex discrimination as also prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Among other things, this order negatively affects women's privacy and safety in private spaces such as bathrooms and locker rooms.
- On January 28, 2021, Biden repealed the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy, which was designed to ensure that our foreign aid is not used to provide or promote abortion worldwide.
- In March 2021, Biden signed the American Rescue Plan Act, a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package that lacked key abortion funding restrictions, breaking decades of congressional precedent on restricting federal funding for abortion.
- In August 2021, Biden oversaw a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that enabled the quick rise of the Taliban and endangered religious minorities, including Christian converts.
The state of the union might seem perilous, but our trust is not--and never will be--in Washington, D.C. Our faith is in the King of kings. "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God" (Psalm 20:7).
Will you help strengthen FRC's voice on behalf of biblical values in the halls of government?
DONATE NOW
Your vital support enables us to engage policymakers at the federal, state, and local levels; educate Americans on how to stand for biblical truth; encourage pastors to preach the whole counsel of Scripture; expand our broadcast reach to even more concerned citizens; equip men to be leaders in their families and communities; and so much more.
As Christians, we acknowledge God as the giver of our freedoms and the author and finisher of our faith. So, in times of trouble, we can trust in Him to be our rock, salvation, and fortress (Psalm 62:2).
Thank you in advance for standing shoulder to shoulder with FRC. Let us resolve to strengthen faith, family, and freedom with a new commitment to seek one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all.
