Monday, Lizzie joined the House’s Pro-Choice Caucus Chair Congresswoman Diana DeGette (CO-01) and local advocates who are fighting for the health, privacy, and freedom of women and families across Texas and the country.
We’re so proud of the work Lizzie and these pro-choice leaders are doing to make sure all Texans have access to the reproductive care they need when they need it — especially after learning the Supreme Court is on the brink of overturning Roe v. Wade .
Nearly five years ago, Hurricane Harvey devastated our communities, and many Texans are still in the process of rebuilding.
Lizzie led a letter asking Congress to fund disaster relief for Texans who were denied aid. After Harvey, Texans who were denied FEMA relief were offered low-interest, direct loans for disaster recovery with the promise that it wouldn’t disqualify them from disaster recovery grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. They later learned that wasn’t the case and their grant applications were denied.
Lizzie is working to make this right for Texans and get them the relief they need.
Thank you for being a part of the team,
Team Lizzie
