Since SCOTUS' decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was first leaked last week, Mayor Lightfoot has been a woman of action. On Monday, she announced a plan to make Chicago a save haven for all those seeking abortion care, especially those across the Midwest. But she hasn't stopped there. Mayor Lightfoot is sounding the alarm about the ultra-conservative Supreme Court's very real threat to LGBTQ+ rights.

Now, certain members of the MAGA crowd are determined to undermine Mayor Lightfoot. So much so, that right-wing extremists like Rep. Lauren Boebert are hurling unwarranted and hypocritical insults from behind their keyboards.






Let’s be clear, insurrection is their thing. Not ours. 

 

Republicans are desperate to tear down Mayor Lightfoot and her Justice For All Pledge, because they know the city of Chicago will be one of the biggest power houses when it comes to safe and legal abortion access. And they definitely don't like that Mayor Lightfoot is sounding the alarm that many of our other hard-won rights are also in danger.
