Dear Friend,

In the Trump era it can be hard to feel grateful for anything. Every day brings a new challenge to our definition of human decency. We can feel lost, powerless or downright beaten down. As attorneys who specialize in social justice, these days have felt bleak indeed.

But then we remember people like you, Friend. People who are scared (and mad as hell) about the future of our country. People like you who have supported Free Press through actions and generous donations.

In the past year we’ve stood up to Fox News’ lies and vicious racism, we’ve fought in court against Trump’s FCC and we’ve started to take our Net Neutrality fight to the states. Reflecting on this work is a great reminder that even during the days of Trump, together we can accomplish amazing things.

So, as families and friends gather tomorrow, we just wanted to let you know that we’re thankful for you.
