John,
Last week, we experienced one of the cruelest stretches of a Trump Presidency marked by non-stop bigotry and racism.

On Sunday, Trump initiated military-style raids by ICE agents, targeting thousands of non-violent migrants in at least 10 cities nationwide.

Monday, his administration ended asylum protections and will turn back vulnerable Central American families fleeing some of the most violent dictators in the world.

Tuesday, he doubled-down on his racist comments, telling four of my House colleagues - all women of color - to “go back...to the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came.”

Wednesday, when discussing Congresswoman Ilhan Omar at a campaign rally, he basked in the horrifying chants of “Send her back!” shouted by a crowd he whipped up into a frenzy.

And then on Thursday and Friday, Trump tripled down on his racist rants earlier in the week; defending them, even calling those who chanted “patriotic.”

Donald Trump thinks America believes in hate. He thinks explicit racism is the path to victory, and he’s counting on this explosive rhetoric to divide us. But we’re not going to let Trump’s cruelty define us. Not now. Not next year. Not ever.

Make a contribution to our campaign today and help us continue standing up to Trump’s bigotry and xenophobia.

The past few days prove there’s nothing Trump and some Republicans won’t do to advance their nationalist agenda and escalate the war on immigrants and minorities.

I know the good people of South Florida believe in hope and fairness. We represent the best our country has to offer, and we always come together to support our neighbors in need. We celebrate our diversity rather than running from it; and we’re stronger for it.

Stand with me and choose hope over hate. Donate today at Donnashala.com/hope.

Thank you,

Donna
