The magic of being together in person has been in full force for the Fulfillment Fund community this month. This is the most exciting end of the school year we have had since the start of the pandemic. It’s been a month of milestones and celebrations. The fun began with our scholarship announcements and College Signing Day, then continued at Sip & Celebrate event last week.
Our College Access and College Success teams announced the incoming class of Fulfillment Fund Scholars at our partner schools and awarded students with their scholarships. These students will be graduating high school in June and transitioning to our College Success Program, which will continue to provide them with the support they need to thrive and stay on track to earn their college degrees.
For the first time since 2019, we celebrated College Signing Day in person at the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools. It was a heartfelt day for students to share news and celebrate their milestones with their classmates, Fulfillment Fund counselors, school counselors, and teachers. And, who doesn’t love a good photo booth!
Last, but certainly not least, we got together with our community of donors, supporters, alumni, and scholars at Sip & Celebrate at SoFi Stadium. The night was full of cheer, with host Michaela Pereira, anchor of Good Day LA on FOX 11; our honorees, the Gitnick Family; our scholar recipients for the Gary Gitnick Memorial Scholarship and the LA Rams' Kenny Washington Memorial Scholarship; and, all the amazing people who filled the room with their energy and passion for our mission. We had a full house and raised more than $650,000 to continue making college a reality for Fulfillment Fund students.
