Susan Collins has officially cemented her legacy as one of the key architects who set the stage to dismantle Roe .

Collins has spent her time in office lying to Mainers again and again. She claims to be pro-choice, but she has refused to stand up for abortion rights again and again. Today, Collins fell in line with Republican extremists and voted against codifying Roe v. Wade .

Mainers warned Collins not to confirm Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch. We all knew that both Trump-appointed justices were nominated to eventually overturn Roe , but instead of choosing what was best for Maine, she chose what was best for herself and put the national Republican party over Mainers.

Now, Roe is on the brink of being overturned. Collins still refused to step up, do what’s right, and vote for the Women’s Health Protection Act. Because of Susan Collins, millions of people around the country – not just in Maine – are at risk.
