I hope you will be joining us as we come together in person for the first time in three years for our 2022 Annual Meeting on June 2, "Marking 50 Years of Accomplishments and Charting the Course for Challenges Ahead."
We have not yet received your registration for the event and hope to confirm your attendance by May 16.
It will be an exciting day with a number of speakers and panelists from whom I am sure you will want to hear.
Mallory Stewart, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Verification and Compliance, will offer the Biden administration's perspective on the enduring value of nuclear risk reduction and nuclear arms control.
Izumi Nakamitsu, Under-Secretary-General and UN High Representative for Disarmament, will talk about the challenges facing multilateral arms control and nonproliferation agreements.
Following the program at the National Press Club, we hope you will also join us at the DACOR-Bacon House (near the White House and State Department) for a special 50th Anniversary Receptionwith friends and alumni from years past.
Please also consider supporting our work into the future by becoming a 50th Anniversary Sponsor when you register. You can learn how your extra support will propel our work forward on our sponsors page.
* Attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please bring proof of your vaccination status with you to both events. Additionally, we ask that you do not attend if you are not feeling well or if you have tested positive or had a known exposure to COVID-19 within the week preceding June 2. We encourage all attendees to wear masks when they are not eating or drinking. Protecting the health of all of our participants is a top priority, but we also note that it is not possible to completely eliminate the risks of COVID-19 exposure.
Why am I getting this? You are a friend, colleague, or supporter of the Association's work in recent years at eliminating threats posed by the world's most dangerous weapons.
