Last Monday, a leaked draft majority opinion proved that the Supreme Court is gearing up to overturn Roe v. Wade and wipe out abortion access for millions of Americans — putting countless lives in grave danger.

Over the last week, folks across the country have spoken out against this egregious decision and demanded that Congress take immediate action to protect their reproductive rights — and John, I stand with them.

Well today, the Senate had the opportunity to take that action and pass legislation that would finally protect equal access to abortion by federal law — but every single Senate Republican voted to block the bill.

I’m fuming. Every member of Congress has the responsibility to fight for the people they represent, and the vast majority of Americans want to protect Roe and the rights it guarantees. But Republicans have shown time and again where their loyalties lie: to the Republican party, not the American people.

But John, this fight isn’t over yet. We must use this moment to strengthen our resolve to fight back against those who want to strip us of our rights.

This November, reproductive freedom, voting rights, affordable health care, and so much more will be on the ballot. It’s more important than ever that we keep the GOP from reclaiming the majorities in Congress and allow them to further roll back our rights.

That’s why I’m personally asking: Will you pitch in to protect this seat and help elect pro-choice Democrats up and down the ballot this November?
