Republicans in the Senate just blocked the passing of the Women’s Health Protection Act, the piece of legislation that would have codified the reproductive rights outlined in Roe v. Wade into federal law.

This was the GOP’s opportunity to show the American people that their voice and rights matter. Unfortunately, with their blocking of this landmark bill, the Republican Party has signaled the exact opposite.

But – I won’t stay quiet about reproductive rights.

I’m ready to keep up the fight against the Republican onslaught on our rights but I can’t do this alone. The GOP is spending millions of dollars to unseat me and I need your support. Will you chip in $15 or more to my campaign and help protect our pro-choice majority in the House?

When I voted in favor of the Women’s Health Protection Act in the House, it was because I believe that every American deserves to have their fundamental rights protected by their elected officials.

The truth is, Senate Republicans have used the filibuster to govern without being in the elected majority. With how harmful the GOP’s use of the filibuster has become, I believe that it’s time the Senate repeals the filibuster.

In the recent Senate elections, the American people gave Democrats a mandate to govern when they elected Democratic majorities to Congress. Why should we then allow a group of 40 Republican Senators to stand in the way of what the majority of Americans want from their government?

Today’s vote on the Women’s Health Protection Act adds to the list of examples of how harmful of a tool the filibuster can be when used by ultra-MAGA Republicans in pursuit of power.

I’ve always believed that our government must prioritize the will of the people. But, it’s clear that Republican leaders don’t agree with me as they’ve targeted my district with over $2 million in attack ads and have confirmed they’ll spend millions more to unseat me.

I need you on my side now more than ever.
