In just 27 days, I'll be going head-to-head with Mike Garcia during our primary -- and the polls are showing that we're neck-and-neck.
In our deeply polarized nation, there are very few swing districts, but CA-27 is one of them. That means voters here could decide what party controls Congress -- and more importantly -- what kind of future is in store for the country. But with dark money super PACs lining up to try and rescue Mike, we need the resources to fight back.
That's why I'm reaching out to you today to ask you to dig deep in the final weeks ahead of our primary.
What happens in this primary is our first glimpse into the 2022 midterms.
It will show the country whether or not voters will show up to the polls to codify Roe into law. It will show whether or not Democrats are mobilized enough to fight back against the far-right, ultra-MAGA agenda.
