Schumer's response to last week's unprecedented Supreme Court leak is to try to make Roe v. Wade the law. At the very moment that the Court may finally stand up for the right to life, Schumer demands the right to destroy any child in the womb at any stage of development. His bill is so radical that he could not even get every Democrat to support it.
We are still waiting for the Supreme Court to release the final decision, but what we can see clearly is the stark difference between the pro-life and anti-life messages. We've seen Justices protested at their homes, pregnancy resource centers vandalized, and constant deception about abortion.
This decision has definitely sparked a conversation within the nation--when does life begin? 61% of Americans do not support abortion-on-demand. Yet for 50 years Democrats have opposed any restrictions, including late-term abortions. Even Biden admitted that a child in the womb is in fact a child.
The Washington, DC, press continues to call me radical because I believe that every child is valuable. The same press refuses to call DC liberals radical when they fight for the right to throw children into the waste bin as “medical waste.” You tell me what is more radical: destroying children because they are inconvenient or saving children because they are precious in God’s sight?
The only difference between a child in the womb and a newborn baby is time.
We must keep pushing to not just change the laws on abortion but to change hearts and minds about when life begins. We must continue the fight to protect the dignity of all children and to value the mother. We must continue to encourage fathers to live up to their roles and responsibility.
We won the fight today, but the battle continues--and we will continue to fight for our children the right way. Join me in setting the example for others to follow.
