Dear John,

Health Affairs is looking for a new Program Manager of Health Equity Education to join our team. Learn more about the position and apply today.
Medicare And Telehealth Equity
Meena Seshamani recently published a perspective arguing telehealth policy evaluation must examine equity, quality, access, and sustainability.

She writes that in order to leverage new technologies that advance access, health care leaders must ensure they also address existing disparities and do not cause further harm.

Seshamani also discusses how the expanded role of telehealth and other digital innovations offers unique opportunities to advance high-quality, person-centered care.

Her perspective builds on a discussion started in an article also featured in the May issue by Sanuja Bose and coauthors exploring the relationship between telemedicine use and Area Deprivation Index.

Seshamani was interviewed by Health Affairs Editor-in-Chief Alan Weil as part of our Policy Spotlight series.
Elsewhere At Health Affairs
Today in Health Affairs Forefront, Tamryn Gray and coauthors discuss how to support patients who may be caregivers. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed how some of these patients struggle to take care of themselves while balancing their responsibilities as caregivers.
