2021 ANNUAL REPORT

In my first introduction to our annual report as Executive Director, I can’t help but think about where we were as an organization in 2015, when I joined staff.

We didn’t yet have national campaign partners. We weren’t yet tracking how much money we were moving to movements. We were 12 staff and under 400 members, and were just becoming our own 501c3 organization after 17 years of being fiscally sponsored.

Reading over this report, I am blown away by the power we’ve built and all the ways we are building toward a world where wealth, land and power are shared.

Continue building power with us this spring by:

• Joining or renewing your RG membership by committing 5% of your overall giving to RG
• Signing RG’s Redistribution Pledge with your current numbers
• Committing at least 10% of your overall giving to RG’s national campaign partners, M4BL and CPD, including deciding what portion of this will be electoral
• Frontloading your big annual gifts this year and moving that $$$ by the end of our Spring Drive! (May 31st)

As we launch our annual Spring Redistribution Pledge and Membership drive, we invite you to a series of events to help you skill up and show up for wealth redistribution!

Come learn the basics of transformative fundraising! This training will also incorporate RG's Transformative Investment Principles and will entail live fundraising of each other in pairs and time to sign the Redistribution Pledge and become a member/renew your membership dues. No prior experience necessary! 

Join RG Action’s partner, Movement For Black Lives Electoral Justice Fund to hear about their strategies to build independent Black political power in the South and Midwest not only to win elections, but to secure the demands of the movement: investments in community safety, expansion of democracy and defense of Black lives. EJP Director Kayla Reed will share some of their vision for how the 2022 mid terms can build strength and infrastructure for 2024 and beyond, and how RG members can support the vision. You will be fundraised!

From Georgia to California, movement organizations face a difficult midterm season filled with possibility to solidify progressive wins and risks from reactionary forces. Join organizers from Center For Popular Democracy Action to reject the midterm blues and re-focus on how elections can build and fortify the power of social movements. This one hour briefing will fill you in on CPDA’s strategy for 2022 and beyond! You will be fundraised ;)  

And remember to sign the Redistribution Pledge, join or renew your RG membership, and commit to redistribution, to belonging, to building power, and to fighting for the equitable distribution of land, wealth, and power together.
