Last week, a leaked document from Politico revealed the Supreme Court’s plan to overturn Roe v. Wade, which would eliminate the federal constitutional right to abortion and overturn 50 years of legal precedent.
The news is heartbreaking for us and our communities, but we have been preparing for this moment. We are with you, and will continue to share opportunities to mobilize for abortion rights and reproductive justice.
Here are three things you can do this week for abortion rights:
We need to get #BansOffOurBodies. Join a local rally near you this Saturday, May 14.
Self-managed abortion with pills is safe, it works, and it is unstoppable! Despite self-managed abortion being a critical reproductive justice issue, it is often misunderstood.
Information about self-managed abortion with pills belongs to all of us, which is why Reproaction is teaming up with Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights to teach you everything you need to know! Learn about abortion pills and how they work, legal risks and how you can take action. We will also share resources for people ending their pregnancies outside the medical system.
No matter what happens to Roe, abortion is unstoppable. We’ve been gearing up for this moment and want to hear from you. Join us as we strategize and brainstorm tactics to spread the word about self-managed abortion with pills.
These small regional group strategy sessions will bring together engaged activists to discuss the future of abortion access in their region, develop new tactics to disseminate information about self-managed abortion, and build connections with one another. We plan to use developed tactics and materials to help support local direct action work this summer.

Self-care is an intentional practice that roots us in the present despite the oppression we may face. Regular self-care is essential for sustainable and effective activism.
Here are our self-care tips for May:
Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty! Whether that means giving some extra TLC to your potted plants, playing in the woods, or joining a local trash clean up, getting our hands dirty helps to (literally) connect us to nature and ground us in the beauty of the world around us. - Kara, chief research analyst based in Arlington, VA.
Declutter at least one area of your home. Whether that be a countertop, an area of your home, or an entire room of your home. Decluttering your space helps "declutter" your mind. Constant visual disorganization can increase mental stress and can affect sleep, the ability to focus, and our anxiety levels overall. Try to start small and work your way up to cleaning a larger area so as to not put any extra pressure on yourself - tidying up doesn't need to be an "all or nothing" game! And, as always, remember to reward good behavior and habits after you've completed a task to make the habit stick, and always treat yo' self. - Nataley, executive assistant based in Milwaukee, WI.
Find time for yourself. I love going to a park to read and journal by myself. It’s a way to spend some time with my thoughts and center myself for a little bit, so I highly recommend it to others! - Audrey, campaign coordinator based in Dallas, TX.
