John --

This is a bombshell! Today we learned that the Lamont Administration literally hid knowledge that their new grocery tax scheme would hurt hard working families.

They lied again because they know their tax and spend policies are crippling our state.

Voters are waking up to the reality that they cannot afford Democrat control any longer, as I pointed out in the press release below. And angry taxpayers have a golden opportunity to fight back.

Events unfolding right now will trigger three special elections in the legislature, meaning we have the opportunity to send three REPUBLICAN voices to fight back against Lamont and more Democrat tax hikes.

Can you chip in $15, $25, even $50 or more to help build our coffers for these crucial fights ahead? ([link removed][UNIQID])

Republicans just pulled off some amazing victories in municipal elections, and now we can send shockwaves through the Lamont administration when we send three more votes AGAINST his agenda in Hartford.

Will you help us champion single mothers and hard working taxpayers?

Thank you,
J.R. Romano

** Lamont Administration Lies Again
------------------------------------------------------------

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CONTACT: J.R. Romano ([email protected])

DATE: November 26, 2019
SOUTHINGTON– Chairman of the Connecticut Republican Party, J.R. Romano issued the following statement regarding the recent news of Ned Lamont's Administration lying about the grocery tax:

"Ned Lamont's Administration lied to Connecticut when they said they didn't know about the grocery and prepared meal tax. The FOI documents released today by The Yankee Institute ([link removed][UNIQID]) clearly show this is a lie and cover up by Ned's staff. It appears that the Governor's Office set up DRS to take the political fall for something he knew from the get-go: this was a tax increase.

"Families trying to feed their children will now have to pay hundreds of dollars more to pay for Ned Lamont and the Democrats' tax and spend policies. We need to be champions of the single mother working to support her children, not stand in her way for success.

"The Lamont Administration lied about their understanding and knowledge of this tax to pretend their policies aren't crippling our economy and driving families and businesses out of this state. Instead of Ned's Administration talking out of both sides of their mouth on this issue they should admit that his leadership is failing. It's no wonder why Ned Lamont is one of America's least popular governors."
