John: transphobia has once again reared its ugly head in the Kansas state legislature. Not content to attempt to outlaw gender-affirming healthcare for trans kids, the co-sponsor of the horrific bill is now attacking out trans state Representative Stephanie Byers.

This bigot had the audacity to claim she was too scared to share a bathroom with Stephanie and launched other attacks, leaning into ugly stereotypes about trans people as predators. We can't let this type of hateful rhetoric stand! Add your name let to Rep. Byers know: you're standing with her against transphobic hate!

Now, we know this transphobe is probably bitter because she can't pass her anti-trans bill - she's introduced it several times. But Stephanie's been leading protests, organizing Kansas's LGBTQ community and allies and working to ensure Kansas Governor Laura Kelly keeps vetoing these bad bills. She made history as the first out transgender person to serve in the Kansas legislature and the first out transgender Native American person ever elected in the United States.
