The news is out: FiveThirtyEight found that Maryland is the second most vulnerable GOP governorship in the country! Republicans are scrambling, friend. They know that Maryland is ready for progressive change, and they’ll do whatever it takes to stop us. Can you pitch in right now to help us flip Maryland BLUE?
As of right now, Republicans control 28 governorships while Democrats have only 22. And with the conservative Supreme Court leaving more and more rights up to states, Democratic control is more vital than ever. If the SCOTUS decision to strike down Roe v. Wade becomes official, the right to an abortion will be left up to individual states to mandate or revoke… and at least 26 states will outlaw abortion the moment they can. Millions of Americans are about to have their bodily autonomy rights revoked — and Republicans have made it clear that abortion is not the end game, but rather just the starting point. Contraception, infertility treatments like IVF, gay marriage, trans rights, and beyond are all at risk. So, friend, what will it be? Will you take decisive action to stop Republicans from clinging to power here in Maryland, or will you sit back and watch them erase our progress and continue their own sadistic agenda?
