John, these are the kinds of statements that allow Republicans to roll back abortion rights, restrict voting rights, and block action on climate change.

If Nancy Pelosi thinks the current Republican Party can care about abortion rights and climate change, the corporate Democratic Party doesn’t stand a chance. And it means abortion rights, the environment, LGBTQIA+ rights, voting rights, and the social safety net are in even more danger.

Pelosi’s statements also don’t make sense because two very high-profile Democrats do not support abortion rights or action on climate change: Joe Manchin and Henry Cuellar.

It’s no wonder Pelosi is supporting Cuellar, the only anti-abortion Democrat in the House. He’s taken big campaign checks from the fossil fuel industry and he opposes Democratic legislation to fight climate change.

Our fight to defeat Cuellar and transform the Democratic Party is a fight for the people. Justice Democrats will always fight for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice. This fight is so critical right now with corporate Democrats appealing for a strong Republican Party and TWO of our primaries in the next two weeks.

Jessica Cisneros has a chance to defeat Cuellar on May 24. We can win another primary before that, with Summer Lee taking on the establishment in less than a week. All while establishment Super PACs spend millions against us.
