Join our Week of Action to win big for our immigrant communities!
Friend - Who or what is your motivation to fight for immigrant justice?
I fight for myself, my family, and my community, including Jorge Rondon Torrealba. Right now, Jorge is detained at an immigrant detention center in Florida, separated from his family and queer community in New York. If he’s not released, he could face deportation to Venezuela, a country he hasn’t been to since he was 3 years old when he migrated to the U.S. with his mom.
Jorge, and all who are imprisoned, deserve to be freed and reunited with their loved ones. That’s why people across the country are taking action next week May 16th-22nd during our ‘Reimagine Safety’ Week of Action. We’re fighting back against the growing deportation machine to protect people like Jorge! Ready to hold your local elected officials accountable to keep our immigrant communities safe?
When you commit to hosting an action, you’ll get support from our team to make your event a success! If you just want to join an event near you, that’s great too. Our elected officials at all levels have a role to play in taking responsibility for the safety of immigrant communities, so that’s why it’s so important that we take collective action next week to voice our demands!
