Dear John,
Like all of us at PRH, I know that you are reeling from the leak of the Supreme Court’s draft decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. But this decision is not final.
Abortion is still legal, and we will continue our critical work.
We are continuing to fight by speaking out in the media to center patients and providers, guiding Members of Congress on how they can best respond to this crisis, and continuing to care for our communities. We are providing needed support to our network of 440+ physicians as they face increasing risks and hostility. Check out a few recent highlights of our work below.
And here are a few actions you can take now and helpful resources to share:
- Donate to local abortion funds today and every day!
- Donate to Keep Our Clinics to support independent community abortion providers.
- PRH’s Resources for Talking About Abortion is a guide for journalists, lawmakers, and activists on how to talk about abortion using medically accurate, inclusive, and person-centered language.
- M+A Hotline is a confidential, private and secure phone and text hotline for people in need of support for miscarriage or self-managed abortion care.
- If/When/How’s Repro Legal Helpline is a free, confidential source for legal advice and information on self-managed abortion.
- INeedAnA.com is a resource to find vetted, up to date, and personalized info on how to get an abortion (no search or user data saved).
- PRH is a part of the Liberate Abortion coalition who will be organizing rallies around the country in the coming weeks. To stay up to speed on events in your community, follow local organizers and funds, PRH is not involved in local organizing.
Finally, I ask that you continue your vital support of PRH as we ready our physician network who will be providing and advocating for care in the face of historic challenges.
Thank you for all you do.
