I’m telling you personally, John: I am the perfect candidate to take on Ron DeSantis.

In 2020, Trump and the Republicans made terrifying gains among the Hispanic population in the Miami-Dade area. If we lose these voters, Democrats will lose in a one-on-one match with Ron DeSantis.

And we can’t afford to lose, John.

I am the only candidate in this race who can bring Hispanics back into the Democratic fold. I’ve done it throughout my career. In 2017, I ran in a heavily Republican state Senate district here in Miami-Dade and won. I then won re-election twice.

According to Politico, I can create the “winning coalition” we need to defeat Ron DeSantis. The Economist has called me the most compelling candidate in the race multiple times. But, beyond what’s written about me, I know how to win in Florida. I’ve done it before.

And I will do it again in November when I face Ron DeSantis.

So, let me say this one more time, John: I am the perfect candidate to take on Ron DeSantis and win.
