Friend, I am honored to collaborate with the talented St. Louis rapper and political activist T-Dubb-O on a very special upcoming episode of Revolutionary Faith on May 11 at 2 p.m. ET. T-Dubb-O knows the personal is political. He was on the frontlines of the uprisings in Ferguson, Missouri, demanding justice for Michael Brown. In addition to being a prolific and lyrical rapper, he helped establish Hands Up United, a human rights organization in St. Louis. He even met with President Obama in the White House to discuss the administration’s handling of policing, sentencing disparities for drug crimes, and the militarization of the police. T-Dubb-O and other young brothers and sisters who are artists, activists and everyday leaders are clear that one of the most important pathways to power is the vote. He will bring us a unique perspective, from the streets, about how championing the right to vote now is a critically important action in our movement for racial and economic justice. If anyone has his finger on the pulse of the people, it’s T-Dubb-O. Which is why I’m thrilled to introduce our new, regular collaboration for Revolutionary Faith, “Word From The Street,” where T-Dubb-O has an insightful discussion about the intersection of faith, politics, and real life with two guests. The first episode is airing May 11 at 2 p.m. ET and you won’t want to miss this. |
