Imagine going to a funeral for your child, and then a few days later, opening up a newspaper, to see the same thing happening all over again to a neighbor down the street. You see lots of headlines….headlines about the son who just graduated from high school and was going to college nearby on full scholarship who was shot outside his house from a stolen gun. Headlines about the child who died from gun suicide because of the bullies at school, using his dad’s unsecured gun. Headlines about the unintentional shooting between siblings as they’re playing unsupervised near an unlocked, loaded gun.

Imagine the emotional pain of living in that reality. It’s approximately 114 children every single year, just in Pennsylvania.
