The last few weeks have been difficult – there’s no denying that. It is incredibly disheartening to watch Trump’s ultra-conservative SCOTUS appointees gear up to destroy Roe v. Wade. And it’s frustrating to watch our Democratic members of Congress's efforts to codify Roe stall with unwavering partisan gridlock.

I’m outraged, but I haven’t lost hope – and neither should you.

In the face of relentless attacks from the GOP, state Democrats have been on the frontlines, defending our democracy from a right-wing offensive. But they’re not just fending off Republicans’ attacks – they’re leading with empathy, kindness, and above all else, respect for our democracy and the people they represent.

State Democrats are the answer to a right-wing GOP growing more extreme each day – they are the leaders we need in this pivotal moment. That’s why we’re raising funds today to help them secure victories this November.

As the president of the only official committee dedicated to electing Democrats to state legislatures, I know this all too well. I know that with more Democrats in our state legislatures, we can build a more progressive future in the states, fight back against GOP extremism, and repair our democracy.
