I wanted to reach out to let you know about an important opportunity to
advance our movement this week.

Yesterday Sen. Bernie Sanders, chairman of the Senate Budget Committee,
announced that his committee will hold a hearing on Medicare for All this
Thursday, May 12.

I am thrilled to share that I will be testifying at the hearing in support
of Medicare for All on behalf of the 175,000 nurses in our union and on

The nurses of our union, myself included, know far too well that Medicare
for All is the necessary, urgent solution to transform our broken health
care system. That’s why I’ll be with Senator Sanders on Thursday, sharing
nurses’ unique, firsthand perspective on why this legislation cannot wait.

We also expect that Senator Sanders will reintroduce his Medicare for All
Senate bill in coordination with this hearing, which will make this
Thursday a major moment for our campaign to win Medicare for All.

and I
want you right there with me. For months, we’ve been organizing in
preparation for the reintroduction of Medicare for All in the Senate — and
