Ever since my time at City Year, I have been surrounded by amazing servant leaders who put politics aside to support and serve their communities.
At New Politics, we believe that our current system for recruiting political talent is broken. The current talent pipeline is intentionally exclusive, and has significant barriers that prevent transformational leaders from successfully running for office. And the only way to change that is to change the pipeline itself.
That’s exactly why I founded New Politics: to recruit and give military veterans, national service alumni and community leaders the tools they need to run for office – from local school boards to U.S. Congress.
We make this dream possible by focusing on three areas:
➡️ Serve – Identifying those who are already serving our communities and introducing the idea of running for office! We do the work of recruiting military veterans, national service alumni and community leaders across all 50 states and show them a path to continue serving their communities and country in public office.
➡️ Run – Once we identify, we help them run by giving them access to the essentials they need. This includes helping them build a campaign infrastructure, introducing them to industry leaders, and being by their side for every bump and turn the campaign trail brings!
➡️ Elect – Each election cycle New Politics endorses servant leaders across the U.S. running for office who are ready to make a difference. We have a long track record of our assistance resulting in electing strong, servant leaders nationwide and at every level.
Since day one the New Politics team has been committed to disrupting an insular, broken talent pipeline by supporting those who choose to serve in taking the next step, from the day they recognize their calling through to their re-election campaigns. New Politics is leading the movement of service alumni running for office and getting things done once they are there.
