Hi John — The Alliance was founded in the wake of the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. Since then, Washington has become a leader in the fight against gun violence, proving that in the absence of federal action, states can lead the way. We celebrated that progress and recommitted to the work ahead at our 10th Annual Luncheon, Building a Safer Future last month.
