Already we are seeing an accelerated trend of extinctions due to climate change: The IPCC found that at least 400 species have already disappeared because of climate-related causes.
Sea turtles and coral-dwelling fish are at high risk for climate-related extinction.
Stopping climate change now to preserve our oceans — essential not only for biodiversity but also for our fishing supply chains — is extremely important. Especially since climate researchers say we have a good chance to stop 70% of extinctions if we act on limiting fossil fuel usage and protect wildlife now. Simply, things might look dire for our sea friends, but we can change that!
