John,

I'm going to ask you to make a contribution of $3 before midnight to support our Democratic campaign to oust Kevin McCarthy from Congress. News from the Supreme Court has changed things significantly, so I hope you'll let me explain why your donation is so important -- especially right now.

This week, mail-in ballots for the June Primary begin hitting voters' mail boxes in CA-20. Democrats and Independent voters are more concerned than ever about the prospect of Republicans gaining more power. The same way Trump and McConnell took over the Supreme Court, McCarthy and his allies are spending millions to take the House.

The stakes have never felt more real. Our right to bodily autonomy, preventing GOP voter suppression, even who will oversee the 2024 election -- is all on the line this November.

Holding the GOP accountable starts at the very top, that's why I'm taking the fight straight to McCarthy. We're communicating with new voters in mailboxes across our community, but we need to ramp up significantly with voters beginning to cast their ballots -- so I need to ask:

Will you chip in $3 to help us meet our end-of-week fundraising goal? We're still $11,081 short, and anything you give will help us give McCarthy the re-election fight of his political career.
